Jon Sortland
Sortland has written and directed several music videos for Columbia music artists, The Shins. He is the drummer of The Shins, Broken Bells, EV Kain and Cigar, and he also plays guitar, bass, keyboard as well as vocals. While he loves to play music in a band he also loves composing music on his own for his second love in life; film. Sortland's passion for film started in the late 80's by making videos with friends and fellow skateboarders but more recently stepped into music videos in 2012 with his band EV Kain's first single "Yes No Maybe". Sortland is a musician, writer, director, composer, editor, set and puppet designer all wrapped up in one oversized dude that articulates himself by bashing drums and making videos.
